Today brought God news... We were contacted by the Philippines today. They have matched us with Jacob and sent us a placement proposal. Now you need to understand... this was not a given, there are MANY children that are waiting to be adopted in the Philippines - many. So what are the odds that they would match us with this specific child that imprinted himself on our hearts when we were first there? From the world's perspective - pretty slim. But you see as redeemed people - that is not our perspective. We stepped out on faith to pursue one child, this child - Jacob (see earlier post:
I Like America Take me With you). We stepped out because he laid it on our hearts. Just look at what he is doing people! This Psalm says it all for us - celebrate and praise him who is able to do immeasurably more than we can think or ask for....
May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you {securely} on high! May He send you help from the sanctuary And support you from Zion! May He remember all your meal offerings And find your burnt offering acceptable! Selah. May He grant you your heart's desire And fulfill all your counsel! We will sing for joy over your victory, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions.

Hi! We are currently in the process of adopting from the Philippines. We understand that ICAB makes all of the children's matches. I was just wondering if you had mentioned to anyone that you were interested in adopting Jacob, or if it was just miraculous all around that he was the one the ICAB selected? We know we really don't have much say in who we adopt, unless we feel compelled to adopt from the Special Homes list. Thanks so much, and what a wonderful God we serve!
